On your map just look for Naples and Marco Island in southwest Florida on the Gulf of Mexico to find the one-square mile island fishing village of Goodland. STOP'S MARINE CHARTERS operates from Calusa Island Marina in Goodland on Florida's "Paradise Coast". We're halfway between Tampa and Miami at Exit 101 (old Exit 15) off I-75. Basically, we are on the edge of civilization; the northern gateway to the pristine Everglades coastal wilderness. We only have a population of 400 (during high season), so you probably won't find us on a large map. See www.GoodlandFLA.com for more information on our quaint island fishing village. If you plan to vacation in Marco Island, we are only 5 miles southeast. If you prefer staying in Naples, we are 20 miles south. If you are coming south from Tampa, we are a 2 and 1/2 hour drive. Likewise, if you are coming from Ft. Lauderdale or Miami on the east coast, we are a scenic 2 and 1/2 hour drive west through the Everglades National Park on I-75 or U.S. 41.
