Private Charter (3 hours): $300

If you want a boat charter for a memorable coastal Florida Everglades sightseeing eco tour this vacation, your family will never forget this experience. We depart from the scenic fishing village of Goodland on the west “ Paradise Coast” of Florida – just a few miles from Marco Island and Naples, Florida. Captain Pam Stop will guide and narrate in her 26’ powered luxury vessel with up to 6 passengers. During the tour, savor the sights and sounds of the subtropical coastal Florida Everglades and Ten Thousand Islands as we glide along the beautiful waterways in this unique ecosystem. Make it a picnic if you like and bring your own snacks and beverage.

Don’t forget to bring your camera to capture marine wildlife in their natural habitats such as those shown here. The shallow waters surrounding our mangrove 10,000 Islands are home to an almost infinite variety of life. The most popular sight is the bottlenose dolphin and West Indian manatee. These highly intelligent marine mammals can often be found in very shallow water as they socialize and hunt. When approached cautiously they will often examine a small boat and its occupants with the same curiosity we have for them. However, wild dolphins and manatees deserve our respect and we follow all Federal laws that state that it is illegal to touch, feed, chase or harass wild marine mammals.

During our eco tour boat charters we will stop on one of the remote Ten Thousand Islands or barrier sandbars of the coastal Florida Everglades near Marco Island to explore the pristine white sandy beaches, collect shells and when conditions allow, snorkel the shallow Gulf of Mexico waters. Collection of any LIVE animal or plant is strictly prohibited but we can expect to observe many types of marine life along the beach and in shallow waters. Of course there will be a wide variety of beautiful shells to collect too.

Captain Pam Stop has held a commercial U.S. Coast Guard Masters License since 1988, has a Guide Permit issued by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, and has participated in dolphin assistant trainer programs. We are a “Certified Ethical Ecotour Provider” as approved by the Society for Ethical Ecotourism in Southwest Florida and are also supporting members of the Whale & Dolphin Conservation Society and the Florida Keys Wild Dolphin Alliance.
